Food Court Upgrade
Works have commenced on our multimillion-dollar upgrade to our food court, following the completion of our stage one $25 million-dollar revitalisation project in December 2017. Remaining untouched since its opening in 1995, the central food court area will be transformed into a contemporary dining precinct.
The precinct’s new-look, will play on its expansive waterfront views and reflect a contemporary coastal vibe. The transformation will see customers enjoy great dining options, new furniture and facilities, as the iconic Broadwater facing food court becomes a modern dining precinct that exudes a strong coastal ambience with a contemporary new-look.
A coastal-inspired colour palette to suit the surrounds, the new furniture will incorporate a mix of timbers and bright tones complemented by feature lighting and clusters of greenery throughout. The ceilings will be replaced with new plasterboard and feature battens, while amenities will undergo a cosmetic refurbishment including new tiling, partitions and fixtures.
The works to the main food court area is the next major phase of the Centre’s redevelopment project, and follows from the recently revitalised Scarborough Street entrance, ground floor concourse and new-look Coles. This food court upgrade is in line with our commitment to improving the Centre’s overall customer experience.
The food court will remain open throughout construction works and it is anticipated to be completed by Easter.
